PCI Compliance
As many of you are aware, VISA®, MasterCard® and others seek to strengthen the security of debit card transactions through execution of standards approved by the Payment Card Industry (PCI). PCI Compliance applies to payment systems that store, process or transmit cardholder information. It is important to know that non-compliance could result in termination of your merchant agreement, fines or penalties.
The July 1st PCI Payment Security Mandate Deadline for Debit Transactions requires:

All existing PIN Pads in dispensers be equipped with Triple Data Encryption Standard (TDES)
